He’s not that smart.”“ She’s right, ” Augustus says. “It’s just that most really good-looking people are stupid, so I exceed expectations.”“ Right, it’s primarily his hotness.”“ It can be sort of blinding, ” he said.“ It actually did blind our friend Isaac.”“Terrible tragedy, that. But can I help my own deadly beauty?”“ You cannot.”“ It is my burden, this beautiful face.”“ Not to mention your body.”“ Seriously, don’t even get me started on my hot bod. You don’t want to see me naked, Dave. Seeing me naked actually took Hazel Grace’s breath away, ” he said, nodding toward the oxygen tank. John Green
About This Quote

"He's not that smart" is an expression commonly used by those who disagree with another person's intelligence. The idea is that the speaker believes the other person is not as intelligent as they seem, and will not be able to perform at the same level as they usually do. The speaker may be showing off or trying to impress someone, but their claim is often false. To express this idea, the speaker says "He's not that smart." This phrase has been around for a long time.

In 1946, an article titled "How Many IQ Points Does It Take to Get Into Harvard?" was published in Cosmopolitan magazine. The author of this article wrote: "A Harvard man is smart enough to do any job he puts his mind to. But if you ask me how many IQ points it takes to get into Harvard, I can't give you a definite answer because I don't know how many points you have to have." In 1974, a study was done on the Bell Telephone Laboratories, where research was being done into human intelligence.

They found that those people who scored high on IQ tests were often exceptionally good at performing an ongoing task after completion of the test. These people were able to perform a task for a much longer period of time without stopping than those who scored lower on IQ tests. This means that these people were able to keep working on a task longer than those who scored lower on IQ tests without having to rest or take a break from work.

The article went on to state: "The 'smart' man performs well under stress because his brain does not stop working during periods of intense concentration." In 1986, NASA released a report titled "Managing NASA's Biodiversity Program: The NASA Study Team Report." In this report, five scientists from NASA wrote about how "the highly intelligent individual" was best suited for working in a laboratory environment where intense concentration and long periods of uninterrupted concentration were required. This report concluded: "The highly intelligent individual should be encouraged because there are few jobs today which require such intense concentration and unflagging energy."
